Recent Activities for ICT Seagulls Projects

Dearest Dosts,
A new term has just started at Turkish Universities. Turkish elementary and secondary schools are also busy with their second term activities. 2010 ICT Seagulls Projects, with 45 circles, have been in a very intensive collaboration. They registered, determined their problem topics, reviewed the necessary literature through library and the İnternet Search. Now it is road-mapping time for most of the teams. During this planning step they focus on the main and root causes of their problems. Some school need my help at that step and they arrange special meeting days for their team members and me. We were at the headquarters of the Association for the Spinal Cord Paralytics (http://www.tofd.org.tr/) last Thursday and together with 6 students and their leading teachers, we determined the main activities of their project. Two days ago, with the parents, teachers and students of a Kindergarten we were together. And, we also made a general plan with the Blind Secondary School leaders. As you see, time is the most precious wealth for all of us.
On the other hand, our preparations for the 15th Annual Conference of Human dignity and Humiliation Studies go on. We have been looking forward to hosting you here in Istanbul on 28-30 April, 2010. For more information, please click on the pink logo on the right hand of this page.
Lots of love from Istanbul.

A Loss from WCTQEE

Dear Colleagues,
We have been so sorry for learning the tragic news of the death of Mr. Goodwin Mnyawa, head teacher from Todos Santos School in Nacala, Mozambique. We had met him during the 12th ICSQCC in Lucknow, India. As far as we learn from Prof.Dr. Richard Ennals; "He was on business in Malawi when he was struck down by illness two weeks ago and he died this morning. As with other leading figures in the field of Quality Education, his career spanned business and education, with a deep commitment to the community. He was delighted to introduce his pupils to the wider world, and to take the first steps for WCTQEE in mainland Southern Africa."
We are sorry for his family and pupils. May his soul rest in peace.

Spring Term Starts

Dear Colleagues,
Have a productive Spring Term.
I believe ICT Seagulls Teams will be very busy until the end of May. Our web page was awarded as the "3rd Best E-Education" page by the "Turkish Society of IT / TBD" after the web pages of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice!
With love and peace...
