New Things to Say...

Dear Dosts,
I would like to start by wishing a very "Happy and Fruitful New Year!" to you. As we all know "feeling or creating awareness" is the very first step of all kinds of learning efforts. And education is not something among the walls of a school or any country; it is something global as a result of technology. Any TV program or competition is not only in one setting, if it gains popularity it is within the houses of every country in a short time.
If we have been impressed a lot with the various events of the world village through media and technology, I thought that they should also be the cures, the solutions of some problems. I have decided that "We should also share some good educational news and implementations" for the goodness of our future leaders. If we have similar problems in our schools, do the other countries have similar problems and what do they do to solve them? What kind of precations do they develop? Why do not we make use of technology, for instance my Blog to share them? From then on, I will try to collect some interesting educational news with you. They might be national or international. I am an online member of ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and I will mainly make use of that web page. you can also visit there (www.ascd.org). I hope I will realize this dream and I hope you will also contribute to this small project of mine. :)

This year, we have started 8th International ICT Seagulls Project. Registration is mainly completed. Only some African and Asian school teams try to complete their registration due to their academic calendars.
The registered schools of this year are as follows:
- İzmir Işıkkent Primary School: "Seagulls Circle Touching the Future",
- Burdur Bahçelievler Primary School; "Peace People" and "Sports" Circles,
- İzmir Kemalpaşa Primary School;"Gentle Seagulls" and "10th Year Oldies" Circles,
- Çorlu Velimeşe Primary School;"Respective Seagulls Circle",
- Üsküdar Atatürk Primary School;"2. Graders Circle",
- Muğla Turgut Reis Anatolian High School; "S.O.S." and "Prestige" Circles,
- Sarıyer VKV High School; "Colourful" Circle,
- Bilgi University and TOFD (A Disabled NGO) collaborative "Knowledge" Circle,

- India, Glawor,Little Angels High School; "Human Dignity" Circle,
- India Rabbani School; "Manners" Circle,
- South Africa NYDT; "Tshwane School" Circle and
- A circle from Nepal.

This year, the amount of participating schools is low but the interest of quality experts from varous countries is great and this makes us prideful. It seems to me that the future of the project is getting brighter and our seagulls gain more international meaning. Our international Award ceremony will take place in CMS,Lucknow, India on 29 November-4 December with the great support of WCTQEE. Let me remind you to place this event into your own calendar.

Meanwhile, I would like to share the name of the judges with a great honour. Firstly, Turkish judges:
