Visiting the School of Istanbul ICT Seagulls

Dear All,
My visit to the ICT Seagull Project School_OkçuMusa Primary School has left wonderful memories on me. Members of the İmece Circle have been committed to their project and it is clearly seen that they love their topic. They are dealing with the disabled pets. The leading teachers Kübra Aslanoğlu and Duygu Özen are being supported highly by their principal Mr. Şadan Yücel Yüksel.
Circles from Nepal go on registering to the project. Collaboration with nepal QUEST seems to be fruitful for the Nepalese schools. I hope a very rich sharing and caring process continues between WCTQEE partners.
My paper to the Sixth International conference of MIT's Learning International Networks Consortium (LINC) was accepted and I was invited to deliver my talk at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) which is a very prectigious university of the world. This is very proudful and also exciting for me. Visiting one of the best universities of the world and talking there! My topic is: "Reducing Teacher Resistance to Change and Innovations." As you know I have been dealing with ınnovative teaching since 2004 and I will share my experiences about the program. It is between 16-19 June 2013 in Boston (esd.mit.edu).
In my Ed 101 Course, I am introduing the Village Institutions for two  weeks. This week, we will have a guest speaker_Teacher-Author Mr. Mehmet Sazak. As a graduate of Village Institution, he will share his memories with my 62 students.
I wish you a very peaceful and  productive week.

Collaboration with "Nepal-QUEST"

Dear all,
I have always been impressed with the wonderful philosophy of the eastern world. Based upon the saying; "Sun rises the East", after my strong ties with India and Mauritius, I have started a new collaboration with the dosts from Nepal-QUEST. The founding president of Nepal-QUEST Prof.Dr. Dinesh Chapagain has focused on teacher training after his excellent work at Kathmandu university as one of the deans. Nepal has been attending our International ICT Seagulls Project for the last two years and the General Secretary of Nepal-QUEST, Assistant prof.Dr. Lekhnath Pathak has actually been one of our international judges. This year is the 10th Proud Year of our project and in addition to the great support of City Montessori School, Lucknow, India and the great leader Dr. Jagdish Gandhi, we have a new leader_Prof.Chapagain_ for the  Seagulls. I would like to thank him for standing beside me with his very hardworking team http://www.questnepal.org.np/newsletter/Index.html.

On 21-22 March 2013, "2nd International Conference on Psychology and Allied Sciences" will take place in Haryana, India, with the collaboration of" Indian Association of Health, Research and Welfare" and "Guru Jambheshwar Üniversitesi, Centre for Behavioral Reserach and Intervention". As one of the virtual keynotes, I will present my talk about "The Methodology of Training Innovative Teachers". If you are interested in the event, please visit:

As the final sharing, I will share my wonderful experiences I gained suring my training session within the "ICBA-International Capacity Building Alliance Program", organized by Koç University and  Novartis Oncoloji. 17 participants from various cancer and MS Associations were there and we had wonderful four hours together. The theme of my training was; "İmece Circles and Creating Synergy at NGOs". I thank to the organizing persons guided by Prof.Levent Bağcı.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
